Nice group of older/original b&w photos of Canadian Pacific 4-6-2 Pacific type steam locomotives. Most had the date and location but only a couple had a photographer's name listed.

Heading up a freight consist is Canadian Pacific 4-6-2 #2412. Built by the Canadian Locomotive Company in December of 1942, it was eventually sent to the scrapper's torch in April fo 1961. Original specs - G3a class, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x30" cylinders, 75" drivers, engine weight of 299,000 lb and tractive effort of 42,500 lb. This is a Wm E. Paul photo.

CP 4-6-2 #2455 - Canadian Pacific
Description:
This sharp looking 4-6-2 "Pacific" type steam locomotive looks like it's ready to lead a parade! Built by the Canadian Locomotive Company in March of 1945, the loco didn't get a chance to serve very long. It was retired and scrapped in September of 1956, just 11 years of duty before the scrapper's torch ended. Original specs - G3a class, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x30" cylinders, 75" drivers, engine weight of 299,000 lb and tractive effort of 42,500 lb. No date or location was given for this photo.
