Description:  This "boomer" loco has bounced from roster to roster after starting out in Januray of 1959 as Nickel Plate Road GP9 #813 and then to NW to DME to MNN. In 2013 just 12 years after this picture was taken by Eric Berg, it bounced again to their sister railroad, Otter Tail Valley RR as their #1483.

Title:  MNN GP9 #1483 - Minnesota Northern
Description:  Sitting in front of the Otter Tail Valley RR engine house is Minnesota Northern GP9 #1483. Built by EMD in January of 1959 as Nickel Plate Road #813, it was absorbed onto the Norfolk & Western roster as their #2813, then sold to Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern as their #1483 before finally landing on the Minnesota Northern roster. Eventually it was sold again in 2014 (12 years after this photo) to the sister railroad, Otter Tail Valley RR, as their #1323. Eric Berg photo
