Description:  The CBQ and BN used 3 switchers on transfers out of their St Paul yard due to a lapge 1.8% grade out of St Paul to Mpls MN. That is the old CBQ switch tower that was above the tracks in St Paul. The lead SW1500 is an Ex Great Northern one, note the flexcoil trucks.

Description:  BN used end cab switchers all over the system, so it was not a surprise to see these two pulling a 48 car transfer through Hoffman Av en route to Pigs Eye. We see the action from atop Dayton's Bluff, at Indian Mounds Park. It's a great place to watch and shoot the action in the morning.
