| AMTK 185 and 182 pull #1 around the "Airline Turn" at the Orleans Parish Line. The train has just left NOUPT and is turning south in an elongated "S" curve, after parallelling Airline Highway for a few hundred yards. It peels away from the KCS yard along the old I.C. tracks, running under the Earhart Expressway before turning West towards East Bridge Tower. Then it's up the Huey P Long and down through UP's Avondale yard. I'm standing on top of a huge sandbag that sits on a levee across from a pumpng station. |
