Tony Fernandez General The GM-10 #1976 was an EMD teaming venture with Sweden's ASEA into high horsepower (10,000 HP) electric locomotives. Apparently this sole demonstrator was aimed at the former PRR electified routes since it operated from an 11kV, 25 hz power source. Its 6000 HP sister, #1975, used the same power source, but was built with a SD40-2 frame and trucks. 4/26/2009 10:52:14 AM
