| SP SD35 6902 suffers an electrical fire as the train waits in the hole in Soledad Canyon west of Palmdale, CA on July 15, 1973. The crew never noticed the smoke pouring out of the second locomotive, and had to be alerted by the foamer whod stopped to photograph their train. No wonder the railroads hate railfans so much! |
