| Poised outside one of the shop areas around Columbus, Ohio, is Altoona built (5/1924) K4s Pacific. Photographer C.W. Burns notes on the back - "The 1 K-4 that had roller brgs on all loco wheels and lite wt roller brg rods & Xheads" According to the Altoona shop records, this loco was eventually scrapped in February of 1950. The date in 1937 is approximate. This was an October, 1968 reprint from Burns negative. |
