| This EMD was delivered to Union Pacific as SD40-2H 8035 in July 1976, a member of the 8000 class Fast Forties. After the '80 recession ended the high speed diesel program this locomotive was returned to a normal SD40-2 3305 in June 1980. In 2012 this locomotive entered the Jenks rebuild shop in North Little Rock and emerged as SD40N 1685 on July 24, 2012. A year and a half after rebuilding and this EMD still looks recently out of the shop while idling at the diesel tracks in Davidson Yard. |
