New Orleans Public Belt SW1500 number 151 was heading uprive| (westbound) with a train at the foot of Canal street. The Louisville & Nashville's passenger station - which was featured in the opening scene of the movie A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE - had been located where the electrical substation is; but very little fere looks the same. For example, the RIVERGATE convention center on the far left was was torn down and replaced ith Harrah's Casino; while the monument in front of it, which commemorated the BATTLE OF LIBERTY PLACE, was subsequently removed.
