Here is page six of a six-page camera study by Frank Clodfelter entitled "Pennsy's Steel Thunderbolts." It was published originally in the December 1947 issue of "Railroad" magazine, page 57. Top Photo Caption: "Scene in Pennsylvania Station (N.Y.) control tower shows illuminated diagram of track layout, with lights indicating train locations. Operators set switches by turning cranks. Pennsy pioneered in the installation of mechanical switch and interlocking plants."
