| Close up of the refurbished name on the side of the car. Note the "Pullman" green and gold paint scheme beautifully restored.The car moved from the NYC roster onto the Penn Central roster and renumbered PC #4. When Conrail inherited it, the car was repainted Conrail blue and renumbered #1. Finally the car was sold to a private owner in 1992 who refurbished the car to approximately a 1930's style but with modern conveniences which met Amtrak regulations. |
