A loco with quite a long history starting in Scotland as a 0-4-4T built by Sharp, Stewart & Co in 1895 for the 4th Duke of Sutherland. In 1949, British Rwys revoked the Dunrobin's running priviledge. It ended up being taken to Canada by one of the later owners. Due to bankrupcy, the loco ended up being purchased by the Government of British Coloumbia. Doesn't end there as in 2010 it was declased surplus, sold to the Beamish Museum in England and in 2011, returned to England for restoration. An unknown photographer took this color slide at Expo 86. |
