| Another Northern Pacific snow plow shares the stage with NP plow #2. This one is a Russell wedge snow plow built in 1907 by the Russell Snow Plow Company. Several locomotives working together would push the wedge plow into the mounds of snow. Speeds of nearly 50 mph were often used to burst through the clogged tracks. It was retired in the 1960's and donated to the Lake Superior RR Museum. |
