Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in East Peoria, Illinois, c. 1959. The photographer is not identified. Photo Caption: "EMD GP-9B #3808, 1750-hp, at E. Peoria, Ill." Shown here is Penn Central Railroad engine #3808, a GP9B built by GM-EMD as Pennsylvania Railroad number "7183-B," rated at 1,750 horsepower, and renumbered "3808" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-53).
