Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1349, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built in Juniata during August of 1915 and retired in August of 1959 after 44 years of faithful service.

Hagerstown. Here is the second of two successive duplicate 35mm color slides of photos by Bill Price that were taken near Hagerstown, Maryland, on 8 May 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1349, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built in Juniata during August of 1915 and retired in August of 1959 after 44 years of faithful service. Note the trusty water plug at the right.
