Here is the second of two successive original photos by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Passenger Station in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, on 25 January 1953. At the far left is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3108, a G-5S (4-6-0) "Ten-Wheeler" built in Juniata during September of 1923 and retired in February of 1953 after 30 years of faithful service. In the foreground is is PRR P-70 passenger coach #3650. Partially visible at the far right are the steps leading up to the Phoenixville Station. Roy Healey Collection; #20 of 38.

Here is a photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4173, a D-16B (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops as number "645" during February of 1901, renumbered "4173" in October of 1913, rebuilt as a D-16SB in February of 1917, and retired in October of 1929 after 28 years of service. Nonetheless, the lettering on the Combine indicates that this is actually "The Pennsylvania Special." It's powered by Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6018, a D-16B (4-4-0) "American" built in Juniata as number "5201" during August of 1907, sent to the West Jersey & Seashore Railroad and renumbered "6018" in July of 1917, and retired in July of 1927 after 20 years of faithful service. Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7606 is a D-8A (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops during March of 1888 and retired in November of 1902. Bottom Photo Caption: Ordered at the turn of the century to compete with Reading's famous Camelbacks, this baby had a combination Belpaire and Wootten firebox. Pennsy had only three, sold them to the Long Island." PRR engine #700 is an E-1 (4-4-2) "Camelback" built in Juniata during 1899, sold to the Long Island Rail Road in December of 1903, and retired in 1911.
